Stacy Daze Parade
Join us on August 1st in Stacy for the Stacy Daze Parade! Line-up for this parade starts at 11:00 and the parade moves out at noon. You can walk or ride in the float. Show off your DFL gear or favorite candidate tee!

Picnic in the Park
Join us for a Picnic in the Park at Central Park in North branch Minnesota!
Bring your family and friends for an afternoon picnic.
This is a great chance to meet your candidates, your local DFL representatives, get to know your neighbors and share fun and good conversation. Maybe even take on one of our candidates in a corn hole match! Lawn games provided!
Primary Elections
A primary election determines which candidates will be on the ballot in the November general election.
For example, five candidates from one political party might run for governor. Only one candidate can be on the ballot in November. The winner of the August primary election will represent their party on the November election ballot.

Join us for the August 23rd Ki-Chi-Saga Parade in Chisago City! Line-up begins at 1:00 and the parade starts at 2:00. The parade route begins at Old Towne Road and 282nd street.

Isanti County Fair
Join the fun at the Isanti County Fair!
Help staff the DFL booth at the fair to connect with friends and neighbors and help promote our local DFL and our candidates. Shifts generally run 3-4 hours throughout the day.
The fair is open:
Wednesday July 15: 3:00 to 10:00 PM
Thursday July 16th through Saturday July 18th: 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Sunday July 19th: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
We also need help setting up the booth before the fair and taking it down after.

Karl Oscar Days Parade
On July 11th, you can join us in Lindstrom to walk or ride in the Karl Oscar Days parade! Line-up begins at 5:00 PM and the parade starts at 6:00 PM. The 7:30 end time is approximate.
Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and your DFL or Candidate Gear if you have it! We will have extra signs and candidate tees.
Come show your support for out candidates and our DFL values!!
Isanti Jubilee Days Rodeo Parade
Join us tonight to show your support for the SD28 DFL and our local candidates!! Walk along with us or ride in the trailer. Parade line-up officially begins at 5:00 but volunteers should meet at the Isanti Middle school between 6:00 and 6:30.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes if you plan on walking. The parade route is approximately 1 mile. Feel free to wear DFL gear or a candidate tee-shirt if you have one. We will also have signs, tee-shirts and handouts as well as water and mosquito spray. The parade itself begins at 6:30 and generally ends between 8:30 and 9:00.

Midsummer Festival Parade
Show your support for the Minnesota DFL and local SD28 candidates at the North Branch Midsummer Festival Parade. Walk with us or ride in the SD28 trailer. Meet us at 1:00 PM at the North Branch American Legion at 639 Elm Street to get our parade line up information. The parade starts at a 2:00 PM. The event end time is approximate.

East Central Minnesota Pride
Join us for a fun day at the oldest rural pride festival in Minnesota in Robinson Park, Pine City. SD28 will be sharing a booth with SD11. If you are interested in helping at the booth please sign up HERE to volunteer for a 2-hour time slot between 11:00 and 5:00. Find more information about this event at East Central Minnesota Pride.
Monthly Central Committee Meeting - this meeting is in-person.
Join us at the North Branch Public Library, 6355 397th St, North Branch 55056 for an in-person meeting.
Social time is from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Feel free to bring a snack to share and visit with other DFLers. There will be pop and candy bars available for purchase.

Delegates were selected at the SD28 Convention in February, but guests are welcome. If you are attending as a guest, sign in when you arrive to receive a guest lanyard and access guest seating. If you’ve never been to a convention before, this is a great opportunity to see grassroots democracy in action, meet other Democrats, and be part of the excitement, the conversations and the community building!

While only elected delegates are permitted on the convention floor and eligible to vote, guests will still be part of the excitement, the conversations, and the community-building that make our party strong.

Represent the Chisago-Isanti DFL in the Karl Oskar Days parade! Walk or ride with us as we celebrate community—and stand up for the values that matter. Because democracy is worth showing up for. Always.
Parking near the parade line-up area is extremely limited.
Parking in Parking Lots: You may enter Akerson Street from either the north or the south to access parking in parking lots, ONLY if your vehicle is NOT in the parade. Make sure to obey all “no parking” signs and other signage. Plastic Products has given permission for parade participants to park in their parking lots during the parade.
If all area parking lots are full, street parking is allowed in non-parade areas ONLY.
Getting Dropped Off: If possible, please get dropped off away from the parade check in or line-up areas, and then walk to your destination.
Parade Walkers/Riders:
You do not need to check in at the “Parade Check In” station UNLESS your vehicle/trailer is in the parade.
Parade walkers do not need to check in. If you do not know where your assigned location is IN the parade line-up, contact your parade contact person or ask any on-site parade staff member.
Bathrooms:
Portable bathrooms are located west of the Lions Park pavilion, just west of the Lindström Community Center/Lindström City Hall.
Indoor bathrooms are located inside the lobby of the Lindström Community Center/Lindström City Hall. Do not enter the actual Community Center room- it is reserved.
